Sahih Salaam began as a small team with big ideas. 1 Sociologist, 1 Computer Scientist and some concerned parents. On the quest to find our ideal partners, we trawled through the hundreds and hundreds of websites offering ‘dating’ or ‘marriage’ services, but we quickly realised that what we had in mind, no one was offering. We were serious about marriage. We didn't really know how to go about getting there, but we knew we wanted to find a partner for life. For such an enormous decision, the service had to be safe, personal, and Islamic. We wanted help, but we still wanted to be in control.

It was at that moment Sahih Salaam emerged. Safety, Personal and Islamic. These were our three top priorities. We teamed up together to redesign the way Muslims living in the U.K looked for a future partner, using the traditional, tried and tested methods that have worked for centuries. How? They key was to create a community of like-minded individuals and connect them through real human bonds, the MCs.

Now you have registered and created your profile Sahih Salaam works by sending you the most suitable candidates according to your preferences as well as your matches preferences. At this stage you’ll see a concise view of your matches profile (Privacy) until you are both happy for each other to get a full view.

STEP 4 – Say Salaam

You can send matches a salaam which automatically sends them an invitation to return your salaam. If your salaam is returned you both automatically get full access to each other's profiles. This ensures that you can choose who to share those personal details and pictures with.
